Shepherds Bush Empire is a great venue. Tickets at the door only. Door at 7, show at 8.

Sadly as i'm the other side of London i don't stand a chance of getting there in time. Shall wait for any tickets in advance shows.

Advance ticketed gigs are my only option I reckon.

This could be absolute bedlam. 2000 capacity, 8 hours queuing in cold AFTER a BBC radio public announcement (at the weekend). Leaving aside the frustration of this as a Prince fan, health and safety wise this is very irresponsible. I love music but not enough to put my wifes or my well being at stake. I hope to christ they have some proper security this time. But I really doubt it.

Can't believe he's willing to potentially endanger his fans for a bit of PR. Especially after what happened last week, he obviously doesn't give a shit.

There is a BIGGER question here... this is a "early show" so will there be an "aftershow"? Don't think it can be at SBE as it is a residential area and there is a curfew - from memory 11.00pm.

Well if the gigs last week were anything to go by, then people who get in line for the longest time (at the front) will be rewarded with the poorest show (or not). The people at the back will get into the second show which will undoubetedly be longer and better (or not). Expect a second show tonight (or not) and try and work out were the best place in the queue is to be. It's just stupid (or not).

I'm surprised to be honest that the negative backlash against this BS has been more vocal.

Why not just ticket it? It's still first come first serve. Those hours standing, fighting in the cold?

Those are to generate publicity for Prince and his new album which no one will buy anyway (if he even releases it).

I'd love to be there, but can see another repeat of the last queue I'm afraid
